Supreme full-length skate video "Cherry"

As you may already be aware we are huge Supreme fans here at DIGITALSYMMETRY, we may not always be the quickest off the mark when it comes to bragging about the latest collaboration or the newest range of winter jackets they have released but we do quite enjoy the brand.

For me the initial attraction to supreme was my obsession with NYC (that's New York City to you) and my life-long love for skateboarding.

Alex Olson, Dylan Rieder, Na-kel Smith, Mark Gonzales, Tyshawn Jones and Jason Dill's mugs all appear behind the lens in that signature Supreme "cool as fuck" style by the impressive William Strobeck.

Supreme's -"Cherry"- drops today! (27th March 2014) on iTunes US

Dot shading?

Lately I have noticed a severe increase in dot shading artwork, Painfully I admit that I actually didn't notice the dot shading technique until about a month ago. Now that I have, It's all I find myself researching and trying to replicate myself.

Has this technique always been popular or is it recently becoming the new cool? (Trendy, hipster, scene, Zack Morris.. What ever you want to call it.)

Anyway... the reason why I am making this post was to shed light on a very impressive tattoo artist by the name of Mike Adams. After discovering his dot shading techniques I began to search all over the web for other types of artwork not just traditional/new school tattoo flash, and there's a whole world of art out there that I just hadn't laid my eyes upon.

If you have stumbled across this in the hope to see some dot shading , I am going to start you off where I began...

All hail Mike Adams (New York Tattoo Artist)

Supreme – Leading the Skater Generation Since 1994

Supreme was founded in 1994 in downtown Manhattan on Lafayette Street by a group of skater enthusiasts who wanted to work with what they loved. In the last 18 years Supreme has become a center point for the skater generation and a vibrant and rebellious little home for the skate culture the world over. Supreme started with a handful of New Yorkers, who proudly took up the titles of skaters and artists, who wanted to infuse the skaters, hip-hop and punk generation with clothes and accessories that embodied the skater movement and all it stood for.
Since that time Supreme has exploded onto the skater scene and taken the lead in the skate culture, expanding their locations from the small founding store to 15 locations worldwide. From the punk generation in London, to the hip-hop scene in LA and the new-punk genre in Tokyo; Supreme has defined the skater, hip-hop and punk generation. Supreme has given its competitors such as Stussy, Obey and Carhart a run for their money. Supreme’s stylish street wear clothing has given the skate culture a springboard for individualism and creativity, creating a progressive platform for skaters, b-boys, punks and more to show their spirit and their uniqueness to the world.
Since its inception Supreme has lead the skate culture to higher levels by offering clothes and accessories to fit the needs of its customers. Supreme has shown its staying power in a fumbling economy and promises to continue to define the skater generation for years into the future.
